Frequently Asked Questions

How often should I get my bike serviced?

How long is a peice of string? How far and often do you ride and in what conditions? Regular riding needs regular servicing, every 12 months or more frequently. Don’t want to pay for a full service, just get some individual areas checked and maintained. Drive train and wheel bearings are a must.

How long will my bike be required for a service?

You want it, I’ll get it to you. In a day or overnight.

What wears out on a bike and what should I look for?

The stop and go stuff. Brakes wear and need adjustment/service and replacement. Chains are metal on metal and wear out themselves, chain rings and cogs and effect shifting. Keep chains clean and lubricated to reduce wear to expensive drive train components.

Why should I use the Bike Wizard for my service and repair?

Get the service you want and need from a certified bike mechanic. Get the parts you want, not what is on a shelf in stock. I can provide flexible servicing at competitive pricing due to low overheads. Can’t get your bike to a shop for servicing? I can come to you or pick and drop off.
